Gabe Jenks Memorial Scholarship (Addicted.org’s Scholarship)

  • Deadline: July 1st, 2024
  • Description: Addicted.org is devoted to helping individuals affected by substance use. We also believe that everyone should have a chance to receive higher education. We are excited to announce our scholarship program to honor both above commitments. Our first selectee Annee Grayson, inspired our organization to name our scholarship after her late brother Gabriel “Gabe” Jenks, who passed away due to fentanyl poisoning. We honor his memory through our commitment to helping those affected by substance use.
  • Qualifications: All applicants must be (a) a full-time college or university student (individuals taking 12 credits – about four classes each semester). and (b) Be at least 18 years old.

 

Frederick Douglass-Daniel O’Connell Global Internship

  • Deadline: February 1st, 2024
  • Description: The Frederick Douglass-Daniel O’Connell Global Internship was founded in 2017 as the Frederick Douglass Global Fellowship by the Council for International Educational Exchange (CIEE), the nation’s oldest and largest student exchange organization. Since then, program has evolved to pay tribute to Frederick Douglass’ transformative experience visiting Ireland more than 175 years ago, when Douglass was embraced by the Irish people and met the famous Irish reformer, Daniel O’Connell. This immersive opportunity celebrates their exceptional contributions to society and their notable business acumen, inspiring young professionals to emulate their success and apply their principles in the modern world. 10 exceptional student leaders will be selected for a transformative summer internship program in Dublin, Ireland, where they will draw inspiration from the legacies of two remarkable social justice leaders: Frederick Douglass and Daniel O’Connell. Co-sponsored by CIEE, the Government of Ireland, and the African American Irish Diaspora Network all program costs are covered, including housing and airfare. Students will also receive a stipend for their time on the program.
  • Qualifications: We invite applications from 1st, 2nd or 3rd year students, with a GPA of 3.0 or above who are Pell Grant eligible. The application is online and due on February 1. As part of our commitment to expanding access to an international education, CIEE offers a $1500 Frederick Douglass-Daniel O’Connell Scholars Grant towards any in-person CIEE Global Internship around the world to all applicants who submit an application and meet all eligibility requirements but are not selected for the Internship program.

 

The Demetrios Agathangelides Memorial Scholarship

  • Deadline: June 30th, 2024
  • Description: True Leaf Market is proud to support the agricultural sciences. Starting in 2022, we will offer one $5,000 scholarship to a college student majoring in the agricultural sciences. We encourage students in both graduate and undergraduate programs to apply for this scholarship, which will allow them to showcase the skills and knowledge they’ve learned in their agriculture-related field. We want applicants to demonstrate their knowledge with confidence while fulfilling the requirements for this scholarship. Overall, our aim is to encourage students to exercise what they have learned while bettering the world around them. We offer scholarships to students in these plant science related disciplines: horticulture, botany, agriculture, landscape architecture, all other plant size related disciplines. 
  • Qualifications: We accept applications from students pursuing a degree in a plant science-related discipline who are at least high school graduates enrolled in a college, trade school, or university in the United States of America.

 

Distracted Driving Awareness Scholarship

  • Deadline: February 10th, 2024
  • Description: The Distracted Driving Awareness Scholarship is a $1,000 essay contest. The topic of the essay is the following: “What are your personal experiences with distracted driving, and how can you as an individual help prevent others from texting behind the wheel?” The essay must be at least 500 words. 
  • Qualifications: To be eligible for the scholarship, you must be enrolled in an accredited community college, undergraduate, or graduate program in the U.S.

 

The Michael Moody Fitness Scholarship

  • Deadline: Until 1000 scholarship applications are submitted or August 1st, 2024
  • Description: The Michael Moody Fitness Scholarship offers $1,500 to a high school senior, undergraduate, or graduate student who has demonstrated outstanding achievement, participation, and leadership in school activities and work experience, and interest in pursuing a career in the health and fitness-related fields. The student may apply and use the money for education-related expenses, including tuition, fees, books, supplies, room, and board. The scholarship is sponsored by Michael Moody Fitness.
  • Qualifications: Applicants to the Michael Moody Fitness Scholarship must:
    • Be United States citizens or legal residents living or claiming residency in one of the 50 United States, Washington, D.C., or Puerto Rico.
    • Be current high school senior, undergraduate, or graduate students who plan to enroll full-time in an accredited two-year or four-year college or university in the United States for the entire 2024-2025 academic year.
    • Demonstrate ambition and self-drive as evidenced by outstanding achievement in school, and participation and leadership in school activities and work experience.
    • Demonstrate interest in pursuing a career in the health and fitness-related fields.
    • Be enrolled in a major or field of study related to medicine, health, and/or fitness.

 

Equity Research Scholarship Program

  • Deadline: April 30th, 2024
  • Description: At Kailash Concepts, our commitment to providing trustworthy investment insights and tools to aid investors in making informed financial decisions has always been unwavering. In line with our mission to support young and innovative individuals pursuing careers in equity research and investing, we will be granting a scholarship grant amounting to $5000. To apply for this scholarship, students are required to submit an essay on the topic: “Why do you believe a stock is undervalued and likely to appreciate or overvalued and likely to decline?”
  • Qualifications:
    • Applicants must be a bonafide student of any accredited college or university in the United States of America.
    • All submitted work must be solely the original work of the applicant.
    • Applicants may apply once per year. Entering more than once will result in disqualification.

 

Innovation in Education Scholarship

  • Deadline: 20th of each month
  • Description: LA Tutors awards students who showcase their creativity and make positive impacts with a $500 Innovation in Education scholarship. On an ongoing monthly basis, this scholarship is open to all currently enrolled high school, college, and graduate students who showcase their creativity while helping those around them (whether that be in a creative fundraiser, an inventive new app, series of blog posts on a particular theme, or another idea). The application deadline is 11:59 pm PST on the 20th of each month.
  • Qualifications:
    • Must be currently enrolled in high school or college
    • Cumulative GPA of at least 3.0 (or the equivalent)
    • Must be a citizen of, permanent resident of, or hold a valid student visa in the United States or Canada

 

Completing the Dream Gap Scholarship

  • Deadline: June 29, 2024
  • Description: The Thurgood Marshall College Fund (TMCF) and The Sallie Mae Fund are proud to offer financial assistance to outstanding students attending an accredited post-secondary institution. Two Hundred Sixty (260) students completing a two-year, four-year, or trade/vocational certificate/certification program will be selected to receive a gap scholarship of $2,500 for the 2023-2024 academic school year.  
  • Qualifications:
    • Enrolled full-time or part-time at an accredited post-secondary institution or continuous education program.
      • Two-year Schools 
      • Four-year Schools 
      • Vocational/Technical certificate/certification program 
    • Will complete their degree or program by the end of Spring 2024 semester (can be either Fall 2023 or Spring 2024). 
    • Current cumulative grade point average of 2.75 or higher
    • Be a U.S. Citizen or legal permanent resident with a valid permanent resident card or passport stamped I-551 
    • Be a diverse candidate.
      • Diverse shall include, but not limited to: (Gender, Disability, Race, Ethnicity, Belonging to an underserved community) 
    • Able to demonstrate leadership abilities. 
    • Demonstrate good moral character in all aspects of your life, including personal, professional, educational, in your community, and online presence.
